Greeting from Michael Quincy and Family

Hello everyone, our blessings to all of you still living on the gulf coast. We hope all of you fared well through all the devestation. We have seen the pictures Susan sent us and we've surfed the net and were shocked at what we saw. My family and I won't be able to see you all this year. My son Ian has several sport commitments that we need to attend. He is playing select baseball, basketball, and has now joined junior golf at our club. We've become a traveling family staying in hotels two or three weekends a month watching him play his tournaments. I will forward the reunion website information to Patrick and Michele.

We hope everyone is in great health and spirits, and truly regret missing this years reunion. We enjoyed catching up with all of you during the last two.

All our love,
The Quincys

Greetings from Kuwait

Well he didn't say it was hotter than Hades in Kuwait, but it probably is around 120+ in the daytime. And it's heating up politically too, so it's gotta be a stressful place to be about now. But here's a pic of CP resident Chuck Wright sporting a bad-looking rifle and looking cool and ready to do serious business in his Army-issue camo uniform.

From an email sent to SuSu: "Just wanted to say hi. I sure am going to miss all of ya'll at the reunion."

We miss you Chuck; come home safe and soon!

No replies on the Cabana - Any one interested?

My crystal ball is not giving up any answers from ya'll about the Cabana. So if anyone would please say anything. I would like to let Sonny Ellis - the man in charge of letting us rent out the VIP section under the trees and providing the 15 x 30 tent & bartender & set up, know that I am NOT pulling his leg. I am not wanting to come across as antsy, Sept.1 - 4 will be very busy times for them. I figured I might of got one or two comments one way or the other, but none - kind of has now made me think, that maybe this may not have been such a good idea. Well, I am willing to come up with $150 of the $300 total required to rent the Cabana VIP section for Friday as I feel it would be a great place for us to meet before the picnic.

On another note, Peter I agree with you. Any and all duffers should be willing to partake in an early morning tee time. Please post when you have anymore courses & prices that you feel would be best for all hackers.Signing off for now. Blessings for all. Walk in Peace & Balance. It is a way to live. Until. Nick in Florida. Have a wonderful week!!!

Golf / Tee times/ participation

I am willing to try and coordinate a round of golf for anyone willing but personally I prefer early morning to extremely hot afternoons. This does require waking at the un-Godly hour called morning/ daybreak. For many, the nite before will be indulgent and this early morning will present problems but for some the option is managable. I can be corrupted and nothings written in stone but "Feedback" is required. Sooner is best......I'll be playing open golf or best ball....what ever it takes. Broadwater Beach now Great Southern Golf Club is emailing me info and will post as soon as. My alternate would be Dogwood@ Hwy 67 Average cost $30-$40
E-mails welcome @ ptocon@peoplepc.com. no spam please.

Coming Together

It's great to see coordination.

*The Cabana * September 1, 2006 * Friday*

Just a note to let ya'll know that I have talked with the management of the Cabana and we can have it September 1,2006 Friday. We will be able to get the VIP section outside under the trees with a 15 x 30 tent, so if rains should fall we would be okay. It would come with a setup & bartender. BYOB or a paid bar. Tips of course for the bartender would be normal. The cost for this is $300 and anything else that we may want. We need to discuss, like catered food, etc.. As this would be extra but probably worth it. The Cabana is located at 315 Courthouse road Gulfport, MS. If this is something that all would like or want to discuss we have a little time.
If it is something ya'll want to do, then a check needs to be mailed to Attn: Sonny Ellis The Cabana 315 Courthouse Rd. GPT. MS 39507 phone numbers 228-596-1659 & Ralph Case Mgr. 228-897-9988 Please speak up so we know something before some else may get it. I like it, sounds good to me. Blessings for all. Walk in Balance & Peace, it is a way to live. Nick in Florida

Gotta ask!

A reminder that we can't pull this reunion off without funds.
As in the past $25. per adult for out-of-towners and $15. per adult locals who bring a dish.
Monies go to Lidia Beer - her address is listed in the comments to the colorful Simplicity post.
It is coming together and maybe bigger and better than in the past!

Thanks for the post Jay - u hole, just kidding....

I have been doing some research about the Coast and it seems that more places will be open & operating at full scale by or before September. This should free up some rooms for those who can make reservations in advance at for example, the Imperial Palace in Biloxi - the Isle of Capri, Beau Rivage, Hollywood Casino formally the old Casino Magic in the Bay will be open and the Grand is also expected to be up and open. BoomTown is open, but it would only serve as somewhere for those who may want to meet & have a place to grab a bite and donate to LadyLuck LOL. On another note. For all that I may have pizzed of in my youth. My apologies in advance & for those that I have had great times with. I look forward to more great times. And to all the Parents that said, or thought I got their kids in trouble, again, my apologies. I was a wild kid. A lot changes after you turn 30 then 40 then 50 plus and now going on 30 again ;-).. We to have had more then our share of hurricanes over here in Florida and I can tell you to expect or feel a certain pressure in the air. It is severe stress syndrome. After 7 hurricanes in two years over here, unfortunately it took Katrina to release some of this pressure from Florida as it allowed us to realize how lucky we were to have been shared the brunt of Katrina. We lost power for 3 days and had flooding, but in NO WAY can it ever be compared to what happen to my home state and yours, the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
Joe, G confirmed will be coming and Kim Westwood also and will be bringing his guitar and amp as will Joe G - the B'ham Jimmy Hendrix LOL. Should be some very good music and Jay you gotta bring all of your arsenal too. On Peter's note of picnic on Saturday @ 10:00 A:M until - SUSU will you be so kind to advise whats - what until.
Thats what Peter said, you would be the one who could confirm times, etc...
If I may be of any help, just holler. Blessings to all. Peace & Balance, its a way of life. Nick In Florida.

Hi from the Boettchers

Hi everyone. Jim Kennedy found me and told me about the reunions you guys have been having without me or the rest of the Boettcher's! So glad to hear of the 3rd Bi-annual to be held Labor Day weekend. I'll tell my brother and sisters. We grew up on Swetman Blvd in the 60's and early 70's. I am the only Boettcher still living on the coast. My e-mail is susanboettcher@bellsouth.net. Phone numbers: 228-218-5302 or 228-875-4377. I'd really like to hear from whoever is organizing the reunion; perhaps I could assist.
