2008 Reunion Details

Dear College Park Gang and Friends,

The planning team has been hard at work and has finalized an agenda for Memorial Weekend. We hope you will join us for all 3 days of activities but if you can only join for an event or two that is fine.

Friday night: Cabana Bar, 315 Old Courthouse Rd. Informal gathering beginning at 6 PM, Food and drinks available. Admission will be covered by Collection proceeds. This is the place we met on Friday of our last reunion.

Golf Saturday Morning: Peter O'Connor is organizing golf for those who are interested. If you want to play please e-mail Peter, peterjud@windstream.net.

Picnic Saturday Noon: College Park Recreational Center The menu will consist of: Crawfish and Shrimp boil including corn on the cob, potatoes and onions. For the kids hot dogs will be provided. All sodas, water and paper products provided as well. If you are local we ask you to make a dish. Please bring one of the following dishes: coleslaw, baked beans, chips, or dessert.

Please bring folding chairs so you have a place to sit.

Saturday evening: All who would like to go we will be moving the party to Jim Bob's/Skeeter. This is off Teagarden Road and once again we went there last reunion.

Sunday Morning; Day at Ship Island: We will be leaving from Gulfport at 9 AM on the Ship Island Excursion. Costs of the boat ride will be covered by the Collection proceeds. In order to get a group rate we must know who will be attending (adults and children(3-10 years old). Advise you to bring plenty of sunscreen, folding chairs (or you can rent chairs and umbrella), liquids and snacks for a day in the sun. Small coolers are allowed on the boat.

Information about Ship Island: The boat returns from the Island back to Gulfport at 2:30 PM and 5 PM. Some picnic tables are available - 1st come. There are for rent Beach chairs, umbrellas and Boogie boards. The boardwalk has been rebuilt from one side of island to the other. Fort Massachusetts is open but for a group tour we need to make a reservation.
